An extension of the Colorado-based Grays Peak Strategies (GPS), a certified Women’s Business Enterprise, GPS Form Factory shares GPS’s small size, its big heart, and its quietly relentless dedication to supporting great outcomes for communities across the country.
We draw on our work across more than fifteen states and over more than five decades of combined experience to develop forms that people can really read and understand. We do that in part through employing proven principles from behavioral economics to improve engagement and reduce the errors that take up staff time and slow down critical business processes.
As former government leaders, we know how to develop forms that meet the need for legal precision. We understand the tradeoffs of policy and the limitations imposed by older technology and tight budgets.
But we’re also people and as people we face the same kinds of cognitive biases as the clients and customers we have tried to help over all these years. We need to be told directly what’s expected of us. We need forms to use familiar language, and when they don’t, we need that language explained directly. Sometimes we might even need to have key points repeated. (A little reminder now and then can be nice too.)
So we created GPS Form Factory as a way for governments at all levels to enjoy the benefits of human-centered design.
